8-Week Bereavement Support Group for Adults Grieving the Death of a Life Partner, Parent, Sibling, Friend or Adult Child
November 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until November 20, 2019

FALL SESSION
A loved one’s death is a life-changing event that triggers a grief journey for the loved ones left behind. The grief journey can include unsettling thoughts and feelings as well as raise questions about meaning and hope. Just as death is a natural part of life, experiencing grief and actively mourning is a natural and healthy part of life.
This 8-week bereavement support group at Heart House Hospice includes:
- A safe space to share your story of loss and hear others’ stories of loss in a mutually supportive environment
- Education about themes in grief using Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s model, current research in grief, resilience, and mindfulness meditation
- Rituals, meditations and readings
Confirmation of registration in these groups will occur following a phone conversation with a bereavement counsellor and an ability to commit to the 8-weeks. No new members will be able to join the group after Week 2. Space is limited so register early!
