Preventing Elder Abuse

Elder abuse happens across our society. All older individuals are at risk for elder abuse. Topics will include:

• Preventing, identifying and responding to elder abuse
• Reporting elder abuse
• The importance of self-care and support to prevent it

Presented by Marcia Annamunthodo, RN, BScN, MS(N),CCHN(C) community educator at the Mississauga Halton LHIN Regional Learning Centre. Marcia’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from D’Youville College. She is a Registered Nurse with experience working in hospital and community sectors.
