HIV 101

Objectives for this presentation are:
- Understand HIV/AIDS treatment and transmission;
- Recognize social determinants that impact an individual’s access to healthcare;
- Identify participant biases in supporting clients living with or at risk of HIV;
- Describe myths and facts about disclosure and barriers to disclosure.
Denyelle Fraser is the Women’s Community Development Coordinator at Moyo Health and Community Services. She holds an honors degree in Political Science with a minor in Social Justice and Inclusive Communities from McMaster University. She is pursuing an MA in Social Justice and Community Engagement from Wilfred Laurier University. Denyelle is passionate about anti-racism and anti-oppression education.
