Compassionate Community

Join the Movement!  Together, Let’s Launch and Build a Compassionate Community

It’s time to RETHINK how we do things:  How we look after, and connect with, each other today and every day because building a community that cares for each other makes us happier, keeps us healthy and makes us live longer.  Loneliness and isolation are toxic especially if you are living with a serious illness, caring for someone or grieving for someone.

Three Social Aims

1. Recognize all cycles of natural life.
2. Accept that caregiving, dying, death, and grieving exist in our everyday activities and interactions.
3. Recognize that care is not only the job of healthcare professionals and social services, but that it is everyone’s business.

Attend our Information Session on Friday, February 23, 20181 pm – 3 pm at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre
