Volunteer at Hospice Mississauga

Volunteers are the heart of our mission to provide compassion, support, and advocacy that lessens the distress of serious illness and loss on individuals, families, and the community.

We have a lot of work to do in caring for the individuals and families we support. We rely on volunteers to help us in many ways. Approximately 200 volunteers give of their time and skills to support our work.

During our wellness days our specially trained volunteers provide a variety of complementary therapies. Our in home volunteers go in to the homes of the people we serve to provide companionship, respite and support. In the last few years our volunteers have made a meaningful difference to over 150 families doing over 765 visits and contributing 1870 hours.

We provide the orientation and the training for the different volunteer opportunities.

We are SO VERY grateful to all of our volunteers for the continued generosity and commitment to our families, our work and Hospice Mississauga.
